This is by far one of my largest short stories at 245 pages. But it was fun to write. Dmitry is a man who knows how to take charge of his organization and he’s proven that, but this story is about the shifting in the atmosphere. There are alliances that are being formed because of personal interests. The scum is going to cling to other scum and the good guys (if you can use that terminology with these books) find each other and work on strategy. We see how depraved our dear Ivan can be and we see Dmitry teetering on some serious affection for Elsa. This is the transitional story that puts V6-12 in gear.
