Check out today’s radio show on Anatoly’s Retribution: Book One

For the last two weeks, it’s been all about Anatoly’s Retribution: Book One.

To celebrate our readers, we had a radio show today.

So… we only got to answer about 25% of the questions out there today during my first radio show in over a year, but I can assure that we’ll continue each week until we get it all done and then we can start all over again with Book Two, due out on November 1st.  I’m battling a flu right now. And I hate that because I sound like a frog, but the show must go on.  So check out today’s radio book chat where I answered some of the questions that have been sent in to me over the last two weeks.

Are You Reading Anatoly’s Retribution: Book One This Weekend?

The book is finally out. After a few months of haggling with myself to get it done, I finally released Anatoly from my clutches. I have to admit that it’s hard. You grow so close to the characters until the manuscript is never really complete in the author’s mind. I could re-edit, rewrite for the rest of my life on the Medlov Men and never find a stopping point, because I enjoy it so much.

Alas, I have worked through my desire to keep this project close to my bosom and given my baby to you – for your personal entertainment.

So, now my question is, what are you doing this weekend. Outside of all the other things we have to do – soccer games, homework, dinner, weddings, hitting the gym, grocery shopping, laundry, quality time with the family and loved ones, etc. – I truly hope that you’ll be reading my book as well.

So far, I’ve received nearly 100 emails from our Quill Pen readers who have already read the book. They want to know when the second part of the book is coming out, because in the past I have been notorious for disappearing for months after a book drop. Well, not now. I’m back, ladies and gents. And Book Two will be released on November 1st. It will also be $3.15.

The second question that seems to be very popular is will all the questions be answered in the second book that arise from the first book. The answer is ABSOLUTELY! I love giving you a firm foundation and understanding of the characters and their state of mind before we get to the action and adventure of it all.

This book, in paperback format, which will come out on Amazon in one week, is 400 pages long. However, on the Kindle, they say it’s 246. If you’re hoping to get the paperback for your collection. We’ll send a separate update on that.

I really hope you buy the book today. We’re on the Amazon bestseller’s list in both Romantic Suspense and Multicultural/Interracial Romance. This is because you all have been so very wonderful with your support over the years.

I cannot express my gratitude for each of you. This new book is a celebration of life for me. LIAM is here, and he’s beautiful and precious and wonderful. The love I have for him is immeasurable. Y’all he is so perfect. God has been good. So, I’m on cloud nine. Thank you for being patient with me.

Also, I still have to put my collaboration with nine other amazing authors in our New Orleans project, Creole Nights. This was my first paranormal romance. Warlocks: The Creole Coven is the last book in the box set. I plan to re-release it in December with more meat. Make it bigger, better and more exciting. However, I can say it was an honor to watch the women on this project work. They are true professionals and talented their crafts.

So now back to my question. Are you going to read Anatoly’s Retribution: Book One this weekend? I truly hope that you will. And don’t forget to leave a review on Amazon, especially if it’s a good one. LOL.

Sending all my love to you. May you have a wonderful weekend.

Excerpt from Anatoly’s Retribution: Book One

Only three chapters left and I’m done with Book One. But here’s a little excerpt from Anatoly’s Retribution: Book One.

Right behind where Anatoly stood mulling over his next move, a shiny black S-Class Mercedes Benz pulled up to the curb, and the driver, a Russian man with a low buzz haircut, jumped out and opened the back door for his boss.

A tall blonde man emerged from the back seat donning a tailored tuxedo under a black wool coat. He immediately noticed the young man standing on the sidewalk in a pair of jeans and light jacket too flimsy for the fall weather, but Anatoly didn’t notice him. He was too focused on the huge oak doors in front of him.

Snow crunched under the man’s Italian leather dress shoes. A deep baritone interrupted the silence. “Are you looking for someone?” Dmitry asked, stepping up on the sidewalk.

Anatoly turned around and ran his gaze up to the 7-foot giant’s piercing eyes. Flakes of snow landed in the man’s blonde curly hair and a gust of wind caused him to tug at the top of his coat. He looked down at the boy with ice blue eyes that seemed to burn straight through him.

Anatoly swallowed hard and cleared his throat. Digging in his hands down in his pants pockets, he answered. “I’m looking for Dmitry Medlov.” He stood up straighter. Something about the man, demanded it of him.

“What do you want with him?” Dmitry asked curiously.

“Kirill Derevenko sent me from Moscow,” Anatoly explained, noticing the driver’s posture tense. The driver didn’t bother to hide the guns under his jacket or his suspicion of the boy’s presence. Anatoly glanced back up to Dmitry, hesitant to blurt out their familial connection so quickly. “He said you were expecting me.”

There was a brief awkward silence.

Dmitry’s smooth tanned face finally lit up pleasantly with a toothy smile. His high cheekbones were rosy. “Kirill! Yes, he is a very good friend from back home.” He winked at Anatoly. “I’m the man you’re looking for.”

During Elvis’s rise to fame and throughout the wild swirl of his remarkable life, Klein was a steady presence and one of Elvis’s closest and most loyal friends until his untimely death in 1977. In Elvis: My Best Man, a heartfelt, entertaining, and long-awaited contribution to our understanding of Elvis Presley and the early days of rock ’n’ roll, George Klein writes with great affection for the friend he knew—about who the King of Rock ’n’ Roll really was and how he acted when the stage lights were off. This fascinating chronicle of boundary-breaking and music-making through one of the most intriguing and dynamic stretches of American history overflows with insights and anecdotes from someone who was in the middle of it all. From the good times at Graceland to hanging out with Hollywood stars to butting heads with Elvis’s iron-handed manager, Colonel Tom Parker, to making sure that Elvis’s legacy is fittingly honored, GK was a true friend of the King and a trailblazer in the music industry in his own right. Thursday, August 12—G. Wayne Dowdy, Hidden History of Memphis. Step inside the fascinating annals of the Bluff City’s history and discover the Memphis that only few know. G. Wayne Dowdy, longtime archivist for the Memphis Public Library, examines the history and culture of the Mid-South during its most important decades. Well-known faces like Clarence Saunders, Elvis Presley and W.C. Handy are joined by some of the more obscure characters from the past, like the Memphis gangster who inspired one of William Faulkner’s most famous novels, the local Boy Scout who captured German spies during World War I, the Memphis radio station that pioneered wireless broadcasting and so many more. Also included are the previously unpublished private papers and correspondence of former mayor E.H. Crump, giving us new insight and a front-row seat to the machine that shaped Tennessee politics in the twentieth century. Introducing the cover to my newest book – Dmitry’s Royal Flush: Rise of the Queen

Let me be the first to say how proud I am of Kandace Tuggle,  our exclusive designer at RiverHouse Publishing, LLC for her fabulous work on the new cover for the much anticipated Dmitry’s Royal Flush: Rise of the Queen book from the Medlov Crime Family Series.  We had a great conference call with the girls a few days back, where I told them that this would be coming.  Now, here it is as promised.

For me, when I see the cover, I know that the entire book is almost complete.  I always save the cover until the end to make sure that it really encompasses what the story is all about – mostly because I tend to deviate.

So, ladies, here it is.  We also have the site (www.dmitrysroyalflush.com)  , Twitter (HisRoyalFlush) and very soon Facebook. I hope  that you all are having a great day.  And don’t forget the drop date of July 5th.  More information will be coming out in the next few days.

Talk to you soon.

Xoxo and all that jazz,

Latrivia S. Nelson
